Somatic Movement Class
Somatic movement classes are different from other classes. These classes lead you through a series of awareness-based movement patterns designed to retrain your brain and your body. The movements are gentle but extremely effective and nothing else works quite like it.
Somatic movement patterns are slow, gentle, restorative patterns that help improve posture and flexibility. They also result in reduced stress, increased energy and improved sleep quality. Most somatic movements are done lying on the floor on a yoga mat, and are appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.
For participants who cannot work on a floor mat, a somatic table is available. Let me know ahead of time if you need it and I will be happy to set it up for you.
- Bring a yoga mat with you.
- Wear clothing that allows free movement.
- Shorts, skirts, jeans are not adviced for Somatic movements.
